NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutors Course

The NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutors course is the first stage in the UK shooting coaching hierarchy and covers the skills required to run the Youth Proficiency Scheme for air rifle. This is a basic introduction to skills required to teach people to shoot an air rifle both safely and competently. It also covers the competencies of setting up an air rifle range, the legal ramifications of air rifle shooting and the safe operation of an air rifle range.

It is the basic qualification required by most organisations for an adult to run air rifle shooting as an activity.

If you are interested in doing this course then register your interest below. The course will require a minimum of 6 people to run and will have a maximum capacity of 15. The course is likely to cost £50 which would include 2 days of instruction and assessment, all course materials and registration of your qualification with the NSRA.

If I get a reasonable amount expressing an interest then I will try and organise a date suitable for everyone.

In order to give you the most appropriate training it helps if you can tell us why you would like to do the course, i.e. I need the range qualifications only, or I would like to be able to run shooting session for my scouts or I am looking to teach young people at an outdoor centre - something along those lines will be very useful.
